Are Job Seekers Lying About Their AI Skills?

Nearly half of job seekers looking for office work lied about their AI skills during the hiring process. 32% said they lied on their resumes and 30% during the interview.

Management and executive level employees are more likely to have exaggerated their skills. 49% plan to self-teach AI tools, 45% plan to take a course, and 35% plan to take an AI course at their employer's behest.

The report was based on a survey conducted in September 2023 among 1,000 office workers and job seekers.
