Account Manager vs. Project Manager: Bridging Two Key Roles Behind Every Successful Project

In the creative industry, account and project managers work together to deliver successful projects. As a Sr. marketing specialist, I have experience in both roles and have learned the importance of combining them for success.

Account managers focus on communication with clients while project managers focus on execution and coordination. Both roles require strong communication skills and the ability to manage expectations and timelines.

While balancing both roles can be challenging, it allows for a deeper understanding of each project and the ability to align expectations from both the client and the team. Structure, flexibility, and empathy are key to successfully managing both roles.
