It's The Golden Age of Marketing. So Why Is the Fractional Model So Attractive?

When it comes to marketing, the last 10 years have seen a shift from marketing being an order-taking resource to an essential part of the company. CMO budgets reflect the increased faith, with budgets in 2022 reaching 9.5% of company revenues. However, with increased budgets come increased expectations and this has caused a shortage of marketers.

COVID-19 has caused many marketers to go out on their own, retire, or explore different career paths, which has only worsened the situation. Despite the economic downturn, companies are still actively hiring. Fractional marketing can provide the adaptability and experience needed to succeed, while protecting businesses from the pain of attrition.

Fractional marketing teams can provide outside perspective and up-to-date knowledge, as well as the ability to scale up or down based on marketing needs. They are made up of mid-to-senior-level marketers who are prepared to lead, strategically and tactically. Outsourcing marketing work to fractional teams can provide agility and may be the right answer for businesses struggling to find the right marketers.
