People age 18-24 are now using generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, nearly as often as Google to search for information, according to recent research.
Most healthcare digital marketers believe generative AI programs such as ChatGPT will improve search engine optimization (SEO). 39% of marketers are already using AI for keyword research. Content relevance and content quality are the most important factors for influencing search engine rankings.
Nearly half (49%) of healthcare digital marketers have used black hat SEO tactics such as paid links and keyword stuffing. The most commonly used SEO tools are Moz and Ahrefs. 56% of marketers expect SEO to be even more important over the next five years.
The report was based on data from a survey conducted in 2023 among 207 digital healthcare marketers who work in SEO.
