Marketers' Top Worries About Twitter

Marketers' top concern about Twitter is hate speech becoming more prevalent, according to recent research from Capterra. 38% of respondents believe it will get worse over the next six months, while 40% believe advertising will get better. Most current advertisers plan to stick with the platform, but 72% are worried about reduced content moderation.

Verification is important to marketers, with 51% saying it is important to their social media accounts. Losing verification would have a significant impact, according to three in five respondents. The research was conducted in November 2022 among 300 marketing and advertising professionals in the United States.

Overall, marketers are hopeful that Twitter may become more advertiser-friendly, with most sticking with the platform in the short term. However, hate speech and reduced content moderation remain major concerns.
