To succeed in the events industry, professionals need to become more flexible and embrace change confidently. Virtual events have become popular and the challenge now is to combine the power of broadcast capabilities with digital venues. Emerging technologies such as AR, QR codes, and the Metaverse are also being used to create hybrid experiences.

Long form content from events no longer needs to be consumed ‘in the moment’; instead, it can be shared over weeks and months to generate more interest and engagement. Content can be repurposed into smaller, easily consumable pieces and used in social media, email marketing campaigns, etc. to keep audiences engaged long after the event has ended.

Flexibility is key to success in the events industry, and staying curious and dedicated to new ideas is essential. Organizations should take advantage of emerging technologies and create hybrid experiences to make events stand out. By providing visibility into various attendee perspectives and repurposing content, events can make an even bigger impact.
