The number of marketing technology software products has grown exponentially over the past 13 years, according to recent research from Chief Martec and Martech Tribe.
The report was based on an analysis of marketing technology products, which found that the number of martech software apps has jumped from 150 in 2011 to 14,106 in 2024.
The researchers also found that 13% of martech apps come from very large companies, 36% from midsize companies, and 51% from firms with less than $100 million in revenue. Additionally, there are 3,135 martech-focused GPT bots in OpenAI's GPT Store that were not included in the overall total of martech products.
