The report was based on an AI analysis of more than 1.4 billion keywords and social media mentions of 600 global brands across 19 industries. Each brand was assigned a Brand Intimacy Quotient score from 0 to 100.
Media/entertainment and tech/telecom brands are the industries people feel most connected to. Fostering intimate connections had a strong financial payoff, as the top 20 brands on last year's Brand Intimacy list saw a 44% jump in their stock prices from 2020 to 2021.
