The majority of top visited sites in the US and Europe do not comply with privacy regulations, according to recent research from Privado.
The report analyzed the top 100 US and European sites using Privado's consent monitoring and found 76% of US sites and 74% of European sites are not compliant with privacy laws.
Popular sites share data with an average of 31 third parties in the US and 21 in Europe, with major players being Google, Facebook/Meta, and Microsoft.
