How the Pandemic Permanently Changed Marketers' Strategies

Since the onset of the pandemic, senior marketers have made lasting strategy shifts, such as targeting new customer segments, focusing on digital-first experiences, and investing in collaboration technologies. According to Salesforce’s State of Marketing report, up to 70% of these shifts are permanent.

Marketing leaders have also adapted to data privacy policies and regulations, providing incentives for customers and developing first-party data strategies. Additionally, they track a variety of metrics related to revenue, customer satisfaction, and online performance.

The report was based on a survey of 6,000 marketing leaders in 35 countries between June 30 and August 8, 2022. This data provides valuable insights into the lasting changes that have resulted from the pandemic.
