The Public Affairs Council recently released a report in which 46% of Americans view the pharmaceutical industry as the least trustworthy compared to other major companies. Only 13% believe they are more trustworthy and 40% believe the industry has too little regulation.
The results of the 2021 survey show a slight improvement in the opinion of pharmaceutical companies compared to the 2020 results. 86% of Americans surveyed approve of small businesses, while 53% approve of major corporations.
The survey was conducted in September 2021 among a national sample of 2,199 adults in the United States. The annual report can be found on the Public Affairs Council website.
