Color Wheel Theory: Your New SEO Content Framework

SEO requires both “big picture” thinking and granular attention to detail. Color wheel theory is a valuable tool to visualize SEO and create a logical structure for achieving SERP success. Content SEO refers to creating content that helps webpages rank high in the search engines. It includes topic identification, campaign-relevant content, posts and micro-topics, and media files within topic pages.

The color wheel requires knowledge of SEO to be implemented. It involves creating 5-6 groups that tap into the psychology of the user doing the search and creating categories of content and micro-topics. There are three scenarios for completing the wheel, depending on the number of pages listed. It is suitable for business owners, agencies, and in-house marketing teams wanting to plan and execute a content strategy for website SEO.

It is important to audit content and identify areas to build out and improve SEO, link the inner and outer page topics, and focus on internal links, outreach, and backlinks. Resources are provided for onsite content optimization, SEO techniques, and page title optimization.
