How CMOs Are Approaching Generative AI

Recent research from BCG shows CMOs are increasingly optimistic, confident, and curious about generative AI. The report is based on a survey of 200 CMOs in April and May 2025.

CMOs are optimistic (83%), confident (79%), and curious (82%) about generative AI's impact on their work. It has most influenced customer experience, personalized content, and access to insights.

Social listening and customer feedback are top priorities for AI investment for both B2B and B2C CMOs. B2B CMOs also prioritize AI agents. Top content use cases for AI investment are video enhancement and generation.
