Generational Divide: Should Brands Avoid Slang in Email Marketing?
Baby Boomers and Gen X are more likely to believe that the use of slang in email marketing damages brand image compared with Millennials and Gen Z, according to recent research.
ZeroBounce conducted a survey among 657 adults aged 18 to 65 to understand how often people check their email, why, and which devices they use.
Some 39% of respondents check their email 3-5 times a day, and 36% spend less than an hour on email on a typical weekday. Respondents mainly check their email for work messages, and 61% use a mobile device most often.
The report was based on data from a global survey conducted between January and May, 2023.
