It involves partnering with other brands to create a marketing campaign, and can take the form of affiliate marketing or distribution partnerships. For example, Etsy and General Assembly hosted events for Etsy crafters to design products and host global events. Benefits of co-marketing include cost-effectiveness, access to more talent and data, and the chance to learn more about your own company.

Creating a successful co- marketing strategy involves researching suitable partners, setting goals, deciding on a timeline and drafting an agreement. Communication is key throughout the process, and both partners need to have an equal say in decision-making. It is also important to set realistic timelines, and assign tasks and deadlines to ensure everything is delivered on time.

Developing a co- marketing strategy requires hard work and dedication, but the rewards can be great. When both partners have a clear understanding of the goals and timeline, and communicate openly, a successful marketing partnership can be achieved.
