How Professional Services Marketers Are Approaching GEO

According to a recent study by Scribewise, 95% of professional services marketers believe it's essential for their content to be visible in AI searches. Additionally, 97% have already started implementing generative engine optimization (GEO).
The study, conducted in September 2025, surveyed 205 senior marketers from US-based professional services organizations. Of those who have begun a GEO strategy, 72% plan to fully implement it within six months.
67% of respondents plan to optimize web content and 63% plan to update their social media approach as part of their GEO strategy. However, 55% have only dedicated some existing budget and 42% have allocated a separate budget for GEO.
