How Often Should Brands Be Sending Messages?

Brand messaging can become overwhelming when it is sent too frequently. A survey by CSG and Wakefield Research found that 25% of respondents feel overwhelmed by messages sent more than once a week.

Email is the preferred channel for receiving regular brand communications, according to 73% of respondents. However, 70% also say they receive so many messages that they no longer care about the content.

Despite the overwhelming feeling, people stay subscribed for exclusive deals and discounts. Brand messages feel relevant when they are personalized and crafted by a real person, and tailored to recent activity.
